IOD Masterpiece 28

After a brief stint at the "spa" to deal with their "exhaustion", Jenny and Sean are back. Today they have an old friend back in the studio to say hi. Mr. Todd Werkhoven adds his special spin as the three of them revisit a classic, The Princess Bride. Jenny has a Tough Question for Sean, the first round of their weekly trivia challenge happens, Killer Beer Week is coming up and what should you expect, Fargo coming to the small screen, more Honey Boo Boo on the way, a sad loss for Rose City Rollers, are there any natural blondes named Debbie, Fresh Hopped Beer festival is coming up, what is Gangnam Style, what non-local podcasts are you listening to, and an update on the Yeast Beard Beer from Rogue. A big thanks to Mainbrew, and to Todd for putting up with us today. But it really did kind of rock! Thanks for listening.

Listen to what leads Jenny and Sean to checking into a "spa" to cope with their recent bout of "exhaustion". Tonight's the Breaking Modern Family.... er.... Emmy Awards and the predictions come in. After several weeks of outstanding guests, Jenny and Sean just chat it up for a bit and relish in their self doubt after starting the show off with Jenny's Bloody Mary's. A huge thanks to our friends at Mainbrew. Thanks for listening and see you next week after we complete our "programs".

Beer... Mead... Beer... Mead... Mead. That's kinda how today's show
went. You've heard us talk about Main St. Homebrew for so long, and
today we get Douglas Remington from Mainbrew on the show. Not only
did they set us up with delicious Elysian pumpkin beers and Boneyard's
Femme Fatale, but Douglas gave us a solid background on Mead, as well
as plenty of the good stuff to taste. Jenny and Sean also talked
about their great night at Amnesia Brewing where we met some new
friends including #PDXBeerGeeks who #releasedthecurds, Portland says
goodbye to Obo Addy, we presented our new theme song for the show,
we're officially half a year old, SNL's Weekend Update destroyed the
seasoner opener, Breaking Amish could be great, we introduced new
members into the Lists of Excellence, Leonard Cohen talks too much,
and what was up with Dave Matthews on Jimmy Kimmel. A big thanks to
Main St. Homebrew and thanks for listening!

After weeks of attorneys, contracts, and negotiations... ok, never mind... we just asked and she said yes... Dawn Taylor and Patrick join
us in the studio for some chat on the deterioration of service and a look back at The Breakfast Club. We also drink MANY beers as we go over Musicfest NW and how much Reignwolf kicks ass, Sean almost
getting splattered like a bug, earthquakes, organic food, and old slangy terms for being drunk. Main St. Homebrew provided us with a
delicious Space Stout from Laurelwood. It was a good day!

We might as well have called this one The Sound of Music. We were spoiled with our first in studio music guest, Matt Cluthe. Matt chatted with us about his musical history, his trek to Portland from Texas, and played a couple songs. I'll assume full responsibility for the brief sound drop in the first song. We also inducted new entrees into Lists of Excellence, discussed Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Neko Case in PDX, the upcoming Muddy Boots Festival, another tough question for Jenny, Smoothies, changes for KGON's morning show, Naked Prince Harry, Eddie Van Halen, #releasethecurds, Pinterest, and as always... a big thanks to Main St. Homebrew and The Twangshifters... as well as Matt Cluthe.
